The long warm days of summer are here, and the options for outdoor activity seem endless. Kids everywhere are riding bikes and swimming, and playing hopscotch, baseball, and soccer. But is it safe for children with diabetes to participate in the fun and games of summer? The good news is that, with proper planning and preparation, they can participate in vigorous activity in just the same way as kids who do not live with diabetes.
