00:00 Diabetes Canada is the trusted leader in improving the quality
00:05 of life of every Canadian diagnosed with diabetes by
00:08 working to get them the relevant knowledge and
00:10 equitable care they need. We are a passionate team of more

00:22 As an individual living with diabetes, I joined Diabetes
00:25 Canada as its president and CEO because of my passion to help
00:29 change the lives of Canadians impacted by this disease. Our
00:33 mission has a priority focus on care by becoming the go-to
00:37 place for knowledge and connection. Along with helping
00:41 to truly change the conversation around IPD as we
00:44 aim to understand the beliefs and the misconceptions about
00:47 the disease among different communities across Canada. I'm
00:51 very excited about our new three year strategic plan that
00:54 we begin to put into action in 2022. It includes a key pillar
00:59 dedicated to engaging the hearts and minds of all our
01:02 employees and our volunteers to nurturing the collaboration and
01:06 to championing equity, diversity, and inclusion in all
01:09 our work. No one person alone can change the lives of people
01:14 with diabetes but with the strength of numbers, we believe
01:17 that we can improve the quality of life for Canadians living
01:20 with diabetes. From fundraising to education to research.
01:25 Everyone plays an important role in helping us make an
01:28 impact. It's truly exciting to be a member of a passionate and
01:32 energetic team that is driven to its positive change and fine
01:36 supports for five and a half million Canadians living with
01:39 type 1 and type 2 diabetes and our success begins with the
01:43 dynamic and collaborative team from across the country. The
01:46 Diabetes Canada team is working hard to help end diabetes.
01:50 Collectively, we're proud of the work we do to support
01:53 people living with all types of diabetes and we are determined
01:57 to drive the mission of diabetes Canada in creating
01:59 positive change in our country through education and advocacy
02:05 Change is executed with collaboration and consultation
02:08 with governments across this country. I'm so excited to see
02:12 what's happening each province and the federal government in
02:15 this 00th anniversary of the Discovery of Insulin. Diabetes
02:19 Canada is changing the lives of Canadians. Be a part of the
02:22 change. Make a difference to one in three Canadians living
