The tournament continues to honour John Bowles who was active in the Mining Suppliers Association throughout his career and a dedicated volunteer, fundraiser and advocate for Diabetes Canada, first serving as local treasurer and eventually becoming the National President from 1982-84, for which he was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013.
This summer’s tournament will be held at University Golf Club, located minutes from downtown Vancouver. This traditional west coast course features majestic, towering old growth trees and long narrow fairways that anyone can play 18 holes of golf on. Guests enjoy lunch, fun on-course activities, exciting prizes and golfer gifts, live and silent auctions, a buffet dinner and more! Plus, BC Lions’ Grey Cup winning team member Marco Iannuzzi will emcee the evening to raise funds for a good cause.
