The Basics of Healthy Eating for Diabetes  - Pamela Piotrowski, RD, CDE, CBE

Whether you are just starting out on your diabetes journey or are a seasoned pro who could use a quick refresh, this session offers all the basics when it comes to healthy eating and diabetes. Explore healthy choices, the recommended plate model and eating pattern to maximize your energy and nourishment as well as help manage your diabetes.

Developing a Healthy Relationship with Food –  Sandy Maxwell, RD

This session is intended to support people living with diabetes to assess and understand their relationship with food and how to heal that relationship if necessary. We will outline what a healthy relationship with food is, how eating competence can play a role and how to balance food and related goals in a healthy way.

Making Sense of Popular Diets – Nicole Clowe, RD, CDE

Making sense of the continuous stream of information regarding popular diets and how they apply to diabetes can be confusing. Our nutrition and diabetes expert will provide evidence-based information and recommendations around healthy eating as well as dive into intermittent fasting, the ketogenic diet and plant-based eating as they relate to diabetes management.

Eat Well, Spend Less – Vidhi Agrawal, RD, CDE

All of us want to eat well and spend less on groceries. With the cost of food these days, eating well while on a budget can be difficult, especially when you add on the additional costs of living with diabetes. We will discuss ways to make your grocery dollar go further, money saving tips and a few recipes to boost nutrition while saving money at home!
