COVID-19 remains a serious threat to our communities and workplaces, and particularly to those we serve—people living with diabetes. To ensure the ongoing safe delivery of support to the diabetes community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Diabetes Canada follows guidance and directives provided by health authorities.

The health and safety of employees, volunteers, and those we encounter, is of the utmost importance. As a science-based organization, Diabetes Canada is committed to supporting all measures proven to mitigate the risk of the virus, which includes vaccination.

As a part of our COVID-19 practices, Diabetes Canada has implemented a mandatory Vaccination Policy. In addition, all requirements related to physical distancing and PPE (i.e., masks) remain in place for anyone attending our offices, indoor events, etc., unless otherwise stated.

Please check with your local Diabetes Canada office of the vaccination requirements before visiting or attending a Diabetes Canada event.

We look forward to continuing our work in helping to improve the quality of life of all those living with diabetes, together with our communities and partners.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the COVID-19 safety practices at Diabetes Canada, please feel free to contact 1-800-BANTING (226-8464). Please visit our website for more information on diabetes and COVID-19.

Diabetes Canada reserves the right to update this policy statement as changes in public health recommendations, regulations and laws occur.
