Breastfeeding lowers risk of type 2 diabetes in mother

Breastfeeding for six months or longer cuts a woman’s risk of developing type 2 diabetes nearly in half throughout her child-bearing years, according to a 30-year study by the research division of the health-care company Kaiser Permanente.
