Volunteer with us

Volunteers have been an important part of Diabetes Canada since day one. We're deeply grateful for our volunteers' generosity and support. With close to 11.5 million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes today, we need volunteers like you more than ever.

Volunteering with Diabetes Canada gives you the chance to contribute to the lives of people affected by diabetes - perhaps those close to you, in your community, or even across the country. You'll join a team of committed, generous people who are making a difference.

We offer a variety of rewarding opportunities that are matched to your skills, interests and availability. They range from helping out with administrative tasks with a local team, supporting programs and events, fundraising and being part of a committee, to speaking with government officials, and giving presentations and talks to community groups.

Ready to join our team? We look forward to meeting you!

Featured volunteer story

“I needed to get more involved to show my boys that a life with type 1 diabetes is possible, and to help them meet positive role models living with type 1. I hope I’m showing my boys, and others, the importance of giving back and fighting for cure! Ending diabetes would mean everything to me and my family.”

Sherrie Randell, Ontario
