Since 2014, Shelburne Golf & Country Club has successfully hosted an annual golf tournament and helped raise more than $200,000 to help local kids living with type 1 diabetes attend Diabetes Canada's D-Camps.


The Shelburne Flame of Hope PRO-AM Golf Tournament is an action-packed day, full of excitement. Those attending can expect a day filled with activities, a fun round of golf, and opportunities to win large prize packs through silent and live auctions. Around on the course we will have several different activities to participate in (food/drink tasting), as well as challenges (i.e closest to the hole).

Alongside the Golf Tournament, we will host a type 1 education clinic for children living with type 1 diabetes and their families from 8:30 a.m. - Noon. There will be interesting educational sessions and a fun golf lesson provided by Canadian Golf Hall of Famer Sam Young. To register your child please send an email to
