What’s in your pantry?

In a popular nursery rhyme, Old Mother Hubbard went to her cupboard to get her dog a bone, but the shelves were empty and her dog went hungry. With all of the fast and easy meal options available today, your cupboard is likely not empty—but is it stocked with nutritious items?

Research shows that people who cook meals at home more frequently have healthier diets—consuming fewer carbohydrates and calories, less sugar and fat, and more vegetables—than those who regularly dine out or consume prepared or packaged food.
