 Declutter for Earth Day

April 22 is Earth Day – your chance to do your bit for planet. And what better place to start than your own home. Have any small household items that need to go? Any textiles? Did you know three billion pounds of clothing end up in landfill each year in Canada?

Join the Declutter & Donate Challenge, and help us reach our goal of diverting five million pounds from landfill. With your help, we’ve so far diverted 100 million pounds. That has reduced the carbon footprint by 280 million pounds, and saved one billion kilowatt hours (KWh). (To give you an idea of just how much energy that is, a TV rated at 100 watts and operating for 10 hours straight would use one KWh.)

We still have a lot of work to do to ensure our planet is a great place for future generations, but together we can make a difference on Earth Day and every day.
