The Canadian Diabetes Association is a world-class leader in the fight against diabetes.
We need your help to expand our reach and make an even bigger difference in the lives of the millions of Canadians who are living with diabetes.
To get involved, simply complete our online application form and the Volunteer Development Coordinator in your region will be in touch with you shortly.
The online application will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete.
In order to complete the application, you will need the following information:
• A valid email address
• The names and contact information for two references (preferably from supervisors, teachers, etc.)
• The name and contact information for your emergency contact
If you do not have an email address, please download our Volunteer Application Form and fax or mail it to your local office.

Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, Canadians affected by diabetes…
• Can attend a summer camp for kids with type 1 diabetes supported by volunteers, where they make new friends and learn to manage their condition more independently
• Are counselled by a physician or diabetes educator who has read the latest on care and management of diabetes in our Clinical Practice Guidelines (developed by a volunteer group of experts)
• Will learn about the seriousness of diabetes from a volunteer delivering a presentation on the disease or through our public awareness activities
• Can benefit from the work of Canadian diabetes researchers who are a step closer to finding a cure, thanks to Association volunteer fundraising for research grants
